LattéLand Coffeehouse Matinee
NATE & MARGARET
SUNDAY, JUNE 24 - 1:45 PM
Our Sunday Coffeehouse Matinees begin with a just-released, cinematic treat from a young Chicago based filmmaker.
We're serving up a film some are already likening as a freshly brewed take on the screen classic HAROLD AND MAUDE ...with a gay twist!
Nate, a 19 year old film student, and Margaret, a 52 year old spinster, are best friends...in an odd, quirky, totally working kind of way... until Nate's audacious classmate, Darla, sets him up on a date with James.
Nate's new life shakes apart his friendship with Margaret, who goes off on her own to start a career as a stand-up comedian.

Starring the venerable Natalie West (best known as Crystal on Roseanne) and the adorable Tyler Ross (The Wise Kids) in the title roles, you might recognize director, Nathan Adloff, from his performances in films such as Bernard and Richard Shumanski's romantic thriller, Blackmail Boys and Joe Swanberg's web series, "Young American Bodies."
