An outrageous, burlesque-fueled romp that combines elements of Thelma and Louise and Sister Act, with a camp factor approaching near-John Waters levels. With a delightfully over-the-top cast and a plot that would make any 80s screenwriter proud.
At this year's OUT HERE NOW Directors Showcase, Director Brian Pelletier will be here in person to introduce his film
Trixie and Sulie are not only two of Los Angeles' hottest burlesque dancers, they are also girlfriends. One night after the show, the girls witness a mob hit. Trixie tries to be a heroine but instead ends up shooting one of the mobsters. This sends the girls running to Sulie's parents' home in Texas under this facade of being roommates.
In an effort to earn some money to return home, the girls start a burlesque show at a local truck stop. Not the best way to stay incognito. After a rough start, the show takes off and becomes the hottest thing to hit Texas since Charlene Tilton on Dallas. This not only causes a big controversy in a little town but it also sends the mob, the police, and the media after them.
All of this leads to an intense third act when it all goes down at the truck stop. As the clothes come off, the bullets fly.
